What is MoreFrame?
MoreFrame is dual-screen recording and editing for Mac. Record two apps, then cut, zoom, caption, animate, and export without switching editors. Free export includes watermark-free MP4, animated GIF, and AVIF stills.
Do I have to subscribe?
No. Recording and the complete editor are free. Pro adds 1080p–4K video, animated WebP, SVG, and Lottie.
Does MoreFrame work on Windows?
No. MoreFrame is a native Mac application and requires macOS 14 or later.
Do my recordings leave my Mac?
Not by default. Projects live on your disk, editing and export run locally, and Apple Speech can transcribe on your Mac. Optional cloud services run only when you choose them and supply their credentials.
Can I record two apps in one video?
Yes. MoreFrame can keep a second app window as its own editable canvas and timeline layer instead of flattening it into the main recording.
Does the exported file match the preview?
Preview and export use the same project settings for layout, motion, captions, effects, crop, and timing. If a file looks different, email [email protected].
Are Direct and Mac App Store purchases the same?
No. Both editions open the same projects, but Apple purchases stay with Apple and Direct purchases use Polar. Licenses do not transfer between stores.
